If flying with implants is done so commonly and is ok, then I fail to see what your original problem is. You don't have implants for a ship other than a vaga? Seems to me you are saying that's ok...why whine in the first place?
My POINT, which you still fail to grasp, is that all the rest of us have to have multiple implant clones IF we want to fly ships appropriate for multiple situations with implants.
That was not true for nano-*** ships. You could plug in one set of implants, sit in the ****pit of one ship, and have ultimate control over almost every engagement.
This is not true for any other class of ship, and that's why it's being changed.
I don't really care about this argument, lol, and so I'm not trying to take sides, but that's not really true is it? Lots of ships benefit from the same implants. Let's take a slave set for example. That's useful on your pvp geddon, your harbinger, pretty much anything you take into combat with a tank on it. That will be even more universal after the patch, since people will probably tank up a lot of the ships they used to nano, if they continue to fly them at all (not trying to say all HAC's/etc. are useless, just that I personally wouldn't fly several of them over their racial BS if I wasn't nano'ing).
But anyways, lots of implants are universal, and I think most people either pvp with no implants or pvp with a clone or two with somewhat universal implants in it (snakes, slaves, whatever). I know I don't have a whole list of jump clones with seperate implants depending on which PVP I want to fly.
